I won’t be writing to persuade readers today. It’s most likely that they’re going to ignore most of what I’ve said.
Instead, I’m going to write privacy and security steps I’ve taken. Something to help those who are lost in the path. There may be some repeated points here, so I guess that’s for you to skip over.
Deleting my Facebook Account
Deleting a Facebook account you own is easy. It’s in the Settings, in Data Ownership category. If you want to retrieve data Facebook has on you, you can request for a copy.
Deletion of an account will take 30 days, to make sure that you won’t regret doing such thing and recover it later on.
Since a Facebook account is required to communicate in my community, I tried making a Messenger-Only account.
Sadly enough, I can’t access it for free using Smart and Globe. So I made a dummy account made specifically to contact those who insists on using Facebook.
