Previously, I have written an article regarding the full capabilities of the GCash app by Philippines ISP, Globe. Now I am rewriting it so it can be much more clearer and easier to understand from people who didn’t know anything about GCash, to people who are users prior to reading this article.
What is GCash?
GCash is an online wallet app, where it can be used as a digital wallet of sorts. It has multitudes of functionality, but I’ll focus on its main functionality for now: being a digital wallet.
Main Functionality: Digital Wallet
With GCash, one can purchase things without the need of physical paper money or coins. You can use the app on checkout – but only if the store you’re purchasing from supports GCash as a payment method.
Topping up SIM cards
GCash is also famous for being used as to send other SIM card credits using the balance you have in your GCash account. It can top up any major prepaid SIM card brands in the Philippines. From Smart to Globe, TnT to TM, GCash can top them as long as you have sufficient funds in your GCash account.
